We look forward to seeing YOU at the Sparta Band Boosters meeting Monday, March 8th at 7pm in the High School Band Room.

We will be making final plans for our Spring Chicken Dinner at the Moose Lodge, and discussing the new Uniform.

The Band Boosters are in need of a Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer (at least) for the coming year, and nominations are due in April. If you have skills in this area (or any board position) and would like to be considered, we want to meet you to talk about it this Monday!

The following is the schedule and information pertaining to the HS Band Festival on Thursday, March 4 at Coopersville HS.  The Middle School bands will be playing their festival on Friday, March 5 at Coopersville HS.  See Mr. Z. for exact times and more detailed information.

HS Band Festival

4:10pm Call Time/Attendance

·         Concert Band should be in full concert attire prior to leaving.  Wind Ensemble members may choose to change at Coopersville. 

·         All students are to ride the bus to Coopersville unless granted permission by Mr. Spencer and communicated to Mr. Palma.  If you wish to ride home with a parent, give Mr. Palma a note from your parent by Wednesday, March 3

·         Bring food and/or money for food.  As of today, I have no confirmation that food will be available for purchase at the sight, but it usually is at these events.

·         Leave valuables at home or school, there is no place to secure these items at festival.

·         Please watch as many bands in the auditorium as possible.

Because there was no school Monday (2/15/10), there will be no scrip sales Monday night.

Instead, we will hold scrip Tuesday evening (2/16/10) at the High School Media Center during the normal time frame of 7-8 pm.

Delivered orders that would normally be brought to school on Tuesday will be delivered on Wednesday.

Just a quick reminder that the Band Boosters will meet tonight at 7pm in the High School Band Room.

Parents of all band members, grades 6-12, are invited and encouraged to attend.

Tonight we will vote on the previously proposed amendment to the bylaws, among other things.
